Upgrade notes:
Due to changes in the video card identification mechanisms, re-binding of video cards in the transcoder will be required. Due to changes in the authorization mechanisms by IP and range of IP addresses for reception on Flussonic software for peers created in Perfect Streamer for authorization by IP, it is necessary to use links in the format:

HLS OTT mode is a special mode of stream output in HLS, where smart chunk splitting is used for lightning-fast start of viewing.
A unique algorithm of smart chunk splitting has been implemented, especially for viewing by OTT clients.

For comparison, in HLS peering mode, simple chunk splitting by time is used, in this mode the connection/viewing start is relatively long, but the load on the CPU of the output server is lower. You can see it in any other software working with HLS.

Stream Accept List for peers is the ability to set an individual list of channels for each peer, accessible only to this peer on the server. Applicable for SRT in Listen mode, PS1 and HTTP/HLS.
By default, all channels are available on the server for peers without restrictions.
Also, the peer has a limit on the number of connections and the ability to set a date for the end of access to channels.

Formation of adaptive HLS.
HLS playlist should be configured for each adaptive stream. To do it:

• Enable HLS with OTT mode for each stream you going to use in adaptive streams.

• Streams Adaptive menu item will available in main menu. There you should add adaptive stream and select all streams you need for current adaptive stream playlist.

• Bitrate parameter can be configured for each stream. Default is 0, which indicates to use measured stream bitrate. Otherwise you can configure it manually.

Adaptive stream URL is differ:

• http://host:port/hls/adaptive/stream/login/password

• http://host:port/hls/adaptive/stream/login

• http://host:port/hls/adaptive/stream/

Peer (client) can have access list where adaptive streams are also available.Permission for an adaptive stream includes permissions for all streams that are included in it.

Anonymous peer
By default, the peer login is anonymous. Anonymous peer allows to distribute streams without binding to IP or login and password. Restrictions on the number of streams issued by transport protocols, date restrictions and allowed streams list are applied.

It is possible to create an individual peer by login (name) and password.
To authorize peer by IP, you should enable the “Login Is IP” option.

Authorization options:

• By single IP

• By IP range, for example: “192.168.1.10-192.168.1.20”

• Combined option, syntax of IP lists: ip[-ip2][,…]

Working with files and devices

file/device protocol is available for both input and output for working with files and devices.

output file/device - writing to a file or output to a device. File writing may be required to write to a ts-file and subsequent diagnosis by other analyzers. Output to a device - any device (including SDI) that is registered in /dev.

input file/device - cyclic playback of video from a ts-file.

When working with files, the full path to the file is specified in the field File Path:
/catalog/stream.ts.

When working with devices, the Is Device flag is additionally activated.
